Online services


  • Kingshurst Reader’s Circle - meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 10.30-11.30am, it is a self-run group for book lovers. Come along for a chat about books you have enjoyed and perhaps be inspired to try new authors
  • Family History Group - a free self-run family group that meets on the second Tuesday of the month 2.00-4.00pm. Come along, meet new friends, share your experience and get mutual support with your research
  • Free computer training - free courses using the LearnMyWay website, please ask staff for more information in the library or by ringing 0121 770 3451
  • Free Health Checks - health checks include: Blood Pressure, Height, Weight, BMI, speak to a member of library staff for further information
  • Local Councillors - you can arrange to meet your local Councillor by at Kingshurst library by appointment only
  • Rhyme Time - once a fortnight on Tuesdays starting 10.15am for 20-30 minutes. A short interactive session for babies and very young children (0-2) that includes finger and action rhymes and songs. Also a chance to meet other mums and carers
  • Story time for Pre-School Children - Fridays 10.15am for 20-30 minutes, term time only
