Important - New fines for all library customers

From Saturday 1 April 2017 all library customers will be charged fines for items that are overdue. This includes children under the age of 18.

Searching the library catalogue

You can search the online library catalogue for items held by all Solihull libraries.

To place reservations or renew items you will need a library membership card and your PIN number.

Borrowing items

Adults can borrow up to 10 books, 6 CDs, 6 DVDs and 10 audiobooks at any one time. Books, audiobooks and language courses can be borrowed for 3 weeks, all other items are loaned for 1 week. There is a charge if borrowing DVDs or CDs, and also for audiobooks unless you are Print Disabled (have difficulty with print books)

Children and teenagers can borrow up to 10 books, 6 CDs, 6 Children's DVDs and 10 audiobooks.

Renew items you have borrowed

Log in to your library account to renew items online. To access your account you will need your library membership card (which contains your borrower number).

You can renew your items online twice before you are required to bring them in to the library. Online renewals may not be possible if another customer has reserved your items.
