Replacement bins and containers
Damaged brown wheelie bins
Due to a manufacturing fault some of the new recycling bins are splitting at the sides. Our supplier is aware of this problem and we will be replacing all damaged bins.
If you have a damaged bin please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0121 704 8000, we'll arrange for delivery of a replacement bin and collect your damaged one.
Replacing containers is a significant on-going cost to the council, therefore please ensure that you look after your containers and keep them in a safe place.
If you have moved into a new home or if this is your first replacement within 24 months we will provide your container free of charge. If you have already had a replacement within the last 24 months there will be a charge for a replacement.
If your bin or container is damaged we will only replace them if they have become unserviceable and not useable.
If you are interested in buying a second green wheelie bin, please view our extra garden waste services page to find out how.
If you live in a flat and have shared containers for your rubbish and recycling, view our flats recycling page.
