Learning and Growth Outcomes

There are four learning and growth outcomes.

Create a fit for the future workforce

To make the organisation fit for the future this is about:

  • Encouraging all staff to be involved in planning and re-shaping service delivery.
  • Engaging with front line staff to capture their ideas for service improvement.
  • A highly committed and flexible workforce that effectively delivers the brand.
  • Workforce Planning: To make the organisation fit for the future this will provide a clear picture of the current workforce and aspirations for ‘Where we need to be?’.   This will identify the current workforce profile, key skills required for the future, strengths and skill gaps, succession planning, a resourcing plan and learning and development priorities.  This will enable a workforce planning process that supports the focus on lean management and effective delivery of customer outcomes.

Ensure dynamic and engaged manager and member leadershp

To make the organisation fit for the future this is about:

  • equipping leaders with cost effective, timely and focused learning activities to increase leadership skills critical to delivery of Shaping Solihull.
  • being advocates and leaders of change who will challenge the status quo.

Delivery of this will be evidenced through exhibiting the key leadership behaviours identified in the Performance and Development Review Framework which are around:

  • ‘Leading Change’
  • ‘Thinks Strategically’
  • ‘Improving and managing performance’
  • ‘Drive for results and value for money’
  • ‘Problem solving and decision making’
  • ‘Effective working relationships’
