Catchment areas
If you live in Solihull we strongly recommend that you include your catchment-area school among your preferences, even if it is your lowest preference. You can find out your catchment-area school using our online maps service. You can measure the distance from your home to a Solihull school using online maps.
Secondary school details and their open evenings and open days
For more information about secondary schools use the drop down menu below. You will see the schools' contact details and their admission criteria. You should check the admission criteria to see if you need to supply any supplementary information to the school, for example a baptismal certificate. You can ask the school for a prospectus.
Is your application realistic?
You can work out the priority your child's application will be given and find out if he or she would have been offered a place in previous years.
You can apply online for up to five schools that you would like your child to go to. You must rank the schools in order of preference. The school you name first should be the one you would most like your child to go to. The schools will not be told your rank order.
Exceptional circumstances
Priority is given, at some Solihull schools, to children with exceptional social or medical reasons. If you think your child has exceptional circumstances you should find out more or phone School Admissions.
