Waiting lists

Contact us if you can not find what you are looking for about school admissions.

Waiting lists are made in strict priority order against the published admission criteria for the school or academy.  Your child can move up or down the waiting list.  For example, if a child moves into the catchment area, and has a higher priority for a place, they will go above your child on the waiting list. If a vacancy arises in a school, the place will be offered to the child at the top of the waiting list.

Nursery, reception, junior and secondary applications

Waiting lists are kept until December 2012.  If you want your child's name to stay on the waiting list you will need to phone us in August.  In January 2013 you will need to fill in a change-of-school form.

Late applications are put on the waiting list behind on-time applications of the same priority.

Change of school (in-year applications)

Your child's name will be put on the waiting list until the end of the term in which you applied.  If you want your child's name to stay on the waiting list after this you must phone us before the end of each term at Christmas, Easter and July.  If you do not phone us be the start of the new school term your child's name will be removed from the list.  You will be asked to fill in a new form after a year.
