About safeguarding

Information about safeguarding including what constitutes abuse, real life examples and further publications.

How to report abuse

Abuse can be stopped and even prevented, but this can really only happen if someone knows about it.

What is 'safeguarding' and 'abuse'?

Safeguarding is about making people aware of their rights, protecting them and preventing abuse. Abuse is any action that harms another person.

The Safeguarding Adults process

If you have suffered any form of abuse and you or someone else has reported this to Solihull Council we will work with the police, health services, voluntary organisations and anyone else who can help.

Safeguarding adults publications

Information leaflets, posters and documents about safeguarding adults.

Real life stories

Abuse can take a number of different forms. Some of the people we've helped have shared their stories to help other people in similar situations.
