Purpose of Decision
To approve a proposal for the improvement and development of Mildenhall House.
Decision Taken
The Cabinet Member agreed to:
(i) Approve the grant of a lease of Mildenhall House to Waterloo Housing Group for a period of 30 years and a day at a peppercorn rent;
(ii) Approve the use of up to two Council properties for the duration of the improvement and development works to provide alternative accommodation for the current residents of Mildenhall House;
(iii) Approve a payment of £32,500 from the Council's Housing Enabling budget to Solihull Churches Action on Homelessness for the purchase by the Council of their 6.5% ownership of Mildenhall House; and
(iv) Approve a capital funding contribution of up to £306,000 from the New Homes Bonus for the improvement and development of Mildenhall House.
