(i) Noted the Local Area Agreement Performance for 2008/09;

ED3859 Taking Forward the Waste Strategy - Operational Roll Out

Cabinet Member for Community Services :-

(i) Approved the Waste Service Transformation roll-out plan which will be implemented in the period between 10th August 2009 and 18th December 2009 with first collections due week commencing 28th September 2009 as highlighted in 1.3.2 to 1.3.20 of the report.

To seek approval of the transformation plan for the new domestic residual waste and domestic recycling services to be implemented in the period between 31 August 2009 and 18 December 2009. 13/07/2009
ED3856 TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF MERIDEN LIBRARY FOR REMEDIAL WORKS - DAMP COURSE

The Cabinet Member: -

(i) Approved the temporary closure of Meriden Library for completion of necessary remedial works.
To seek approval from Cabinet Members to close Meriden Library for a period of approximately four to six weeks in order for essential maintenance work to be undertaken. 13/07/2009
ED3866 Youth Dance England's, Youth Dance Contact for Coventry Solihull and Warwickshire

The Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Community Services:-

Approved that Solihull MBC continues to support and host the Youth Dance Contact role on behalf of the Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Sub Region if Dancescape ceases to exist after current funding comes to an end.
To confirm arrangements for Solihull MBC to host the Youth Dance Contact role for Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire within the Dancescape Project. To put forward a recommendation that Solihull MBC continues to host the Youth Dance Contact role on behalf of the Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Sub Regional Partnership should Dancescape cease to exist at the end of current funding arrangements in April 2010. 13/07/2009

The Cabinet Member:-
i) received the report;

ii) Agreed that the outcomes referred to in Paragraph's 1.3.3 and 1.3.4 (a) and (b) above be referred to the Operational Management Team for further consideration;

iii) That the outcomes referred to in Para 1.3.4 (c) be explored further with partner organisations and a report be prepared for a future Portfolio Holder meeting.
