In 1930's America, Annie is living a miserable life in an orphanage run by the tyrannical, gin-swigging Miss Hannigan.
Her luck changes however when she is selected to visit billionaire industrialist Mr Warbucks. Annie's charm quickly wins their hearts and the Warbucks help Annie attempt to find her lost parents by offering a large reward.
Meanwhile Miss Hannigan, her sly brother Rooster and his moll Lily hatch a cunning plan to get their hands on the money!
