 | Maeve Clancy is an artist who often uses drawing to tell stories in animations, film and comics. For this show her drawings are research material to create a cut paper installation documenting tales of Irish people in the UK. The daughter of an Englishwoman, she was at one time an immigrant in the land of her mother.
The work created for this exhibition is a reflection of her own experience, and draws on the large Irish immigrant community of the area. The bright gallery space is transformed into a paper wonderland with stories to be discovered by visitors as they explore the scenes.
