Cabinet: -

Endorsed the progress being made on the Council's 8 SCIPs with the revenue funding allocated as part of the 2004/05 and 2005/06 budget settlements; and

Agreed to continue to receive monitoring reports.

To enable Cabinet to monitor the delivery of agreed outcomes through the 33 approved SCIP Revenue Improvement Projects

Request for approval for the individual Cabinet Portfolio action plans and proposals to address the overspends and underspends carried forward from the 2004-05 final accounts process into the 2005-06 financial year

The Cabinet;

Approved the action plans and the proposals for the carry forward of overspends and underspends outlined above from the 2004-05 final accounts process into the 2005-06 financial year; and

 

Agreed to receive a further report on 8 September 2005 on Children’s Placements.

To request approval for the action plans and proposals to address the overspends and underspends on individual Cabinet portfolios from the 2004-05 final accounts to the 2005-06 financial year

Education Asset Management Plan (AMP) and Capital Programme Update

Cabinet:-

Approved the proposed schedule of capital works at south primary schools;

Approved the proposals to consult on the next priorities for allocating Modernisation capital for the 2006/7 financial year;

Approved the addition of the NGFL electrical works to the agreed Education Capital Plan; and

Noted the agreement of the DfES for the deferral of the TCF funding and authorise officers to make the necessary changes to the spending plans to optimise use of the available capital sources.

 

To update Cabinet on the general progress of the AMP and advise them of the outcome of consultations on the proposals for the South Primary Modernisation capital programme; to seek approval for expenditure to commence and commence a review of the priorities for the next phase; and to advise Cabinet of the outcome of discussions with the DfES.

Health Inequalities in Solihull - Action Plan 2005-08

The Cabinet supported the Local Strategic Partnership in implementing its Action Plan for Reducing Health Inequalities In Solihull, through general assistance as an active partner, or by providing lead officers for specific actions, as described in the Action Plan.
