(i) To agree the decision timetable set out in the report to form the basis for
the overall decision making. (ii) To approve the development of a programme of seminars and workshops to give information to and consult with all Members about the emerging process. (iii) To set up an advisory panel comprising 2 Conservatives, 1 Labour and 1 Liberal Democrat to give the advice that the lead Cabinet member will need throughout the process to support interim decisions and guidance given throughout the negotiations. (iv) To agree that the initial projects should extend beyond fact finding and include propositions for the Council about the way the service should be structured - and the role the Partnership could play in its operation. (v) To authorise the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Resources to sign the enabling legal agreement to support the early work. (vi) To authorise the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Resources to agree the legal and commercial advisors. (vii) To endorse the arrangements for monitoring social and other interactions with Severn Trent by a register kept by the Solicitor to the Council and by the requirement that specific approval for any event is sought from the Chief Executive or the Solicitor to the Council or - where the Chief executive is involved - from the Leader of the Council. (viii) To approve attendance at the Utilities Awards ceremony on the 9th December 2002. (ix) To approve the suggested funding approach |
