Review of the Services provided to Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children

The Cabinet Member:

considered the conclusions and recommendations as set out in the report of the Task and Finish Group and endorsed implementation of the recommendations; and

authorised the Corporate Director of Education and Children Services to make urgent representations to Government on this issue, with particular regard to the financial implications for the authority.

New School Governing Body Constitutions

The Cabinet Member approved the Instruments of Government as detailed in Appendix A to the report with the addition of Windy Arbor Primary School.

LEA Governor Appointments

The Cabinet Member having considered the views of the Advisory Group approved proposals for the appointment of LEA governors, as detailed in the report with the exception of Mr Sparkes, who had withdrawn his nomination.

Sans Souci Equipment & Room Hire Charges

The Cabinet Member approved the revised charges for Sans Souci and the proposed use of that additional income, as detailed in the report, with effect September 2005.

To recommend an increase in room and conference equipment hire charges from   September 2005.
