To give effect to Home Office
Guidance on anti social behaviour co-ordination consistent with recent
street crime initiatives and improved links in relation to CCTV activity
flowing from implementation of the new Council Structure. [Note: these proposals have been approved by the multi-agency Crime and Disorder Development and Delivery Group and are consistent with use of Home Office funding under the Street Crime Initiative. This report was submitted to the Community Safety Task and Finish Group on 17 September and were supportive of this initiative]. The proposed action is consistent with and will form part of the approved multi-agency Crime and Disorder Strategy for Solihull.] |

| 24HCS02 | Developing a Domestic Violence Strategy |
To welcome the developmental
work now being undertaken on a multi-agency basis consistent with the
approved crime and disorder strategy; and To confirm the central principle that all agencies share responsibility for responding to domestic violence, should work together to reduce its incidence and share funding responsibilities consistent with their respective roles and commitment to joint working; and, To invite the multi-agency steering group to consider the comments from Members as part of the process of developing the strategy. To note the intention of officers to submit initial base line information on domestic violence at an early meeting of the Community Safety Task and Finish Group as part of the monitoring work of the development of the domestic violence strategy. |
To shape the development of a
separate local strategy on domestic violence to guide local action designed
to reduce incidence and secure more effective responses to domestic
violence consistent with the overall aims of the approved Crime & Disorder
Strategy and shared responsibility for both action and resources. [Note: the outline principles were submitted to the Community Safety Task and Finish Group on 17 September and their advice is reflected in the supporting submission.] |
