To note the objections received to the proposed disposal of open space land at Chapelhouse Road, Fordbridge; and

To agree to defer a decision on the proposed disposal until the July session with a review at that point in time.

Expenditure Relating to The Establishment of The North Solihull Regeneration Partnership

To endorse, subject to approval by the Cabinet Member for Resources, the re-designation of £105k of capital to revenue conversions to meet additional costs associated with the negotiation of legal agreements for North Solihull regeneration in April and May 2005.

To seek approval for additional funding to cover the cost of negotiating the legal and financial structure of the North Solihull regeneration partnership between 1.4.05 and 31.5.05.

Planning Delivery Grant, Planning Fees and Investment in Planning Services

To allocate additional resources from planning fees to establishment costs in Forward Planning and Development Control;

To allocate Planning Delivery Grant available in 2005/6 as proposed in the report;

To authorise expenditure of PDG as allocated, including the recruitment and appointment of new staff and the commissioning of studies and work, and any reasonable virement between budget heads, as required, subject to approval of Cabinet Member for Resources on 11 July 2005* (*decisions i, ii and iii); and

To place on record, formal recognition by the Cabinet Member of the acheivements and future inititives of the Planning Services Division.

To inform the Cabinet Member of the award from Government of Planning Delivery Grant for 2005/6 and of increases from 1 April 2004 in the nationally set fees for development control: and to seek approval for a strategy for the investment of these additional resources in the Council’s planning services.
