To make a capital funding contribution of £45,000 to Buster Werkenbak in 2005/06.

To inform the Cabinet Member of progress in Year 2 of the Buster Werkenbak Project and consider future funding in Year 3 (2005/06).

Ownership of the buses purchased would revert to the Council in the event of the project folding or retreating from the Borough.

The Centro/Urban Bus Challenge funded buses revert to Merlin ownership at the end of the project.

To agree the Draft Development Brief including the Urban Design Layout Concept for the Powergen Site for formal public consultation with, amongst others, those individuals and groups referred to in the report.

To invite the Cabinet Member to approve a draft development brief and layout concept plan for the Powergen site for public consultation.

To note the expenditure of ODPM Homelessness funding for Solihull 2004/05 and to agree the recommendations made for the uses of the 2005/06 ODPM grant money.

Funding for Registered Social Landlords

To approve a payment to Bromford Housing Group of £145,000, to support the development at Wharf Lane comprising £64,000 from the Council’s enabling fund and the capital receipt arising from the site at Hobs Moat;

To approve a payment by West Mercia Housing Group of £81,000 for the lease of land at Hobs Moat and the Council to make a contribution of £200,000 to the proposed project being the balance of the agreed site valuation;

To approve a further commitment of £250,000 from commuted sum monies to the Swallows Meadow Extra Care bid; and

To receive further reports on the uses of enabling and commuted sum money as schemes are progressed with partner housing associations and the Housing Corporation.  

To agree use of a part of the Council’s enabling and commuted sum money available for affordable housing investment in the Borough.

Land at Kingshurst Brook, Chelmsley Wood

That consideration of the disposal by way of lease, to the Council’s existing tenants, The Banbury Club, of the area of open space identified on the plan within the report be deferred to enable all objectors to be notified.

To consider objections received to proposals for the disposal of open space land for the purpose of constructing the new Banbury Club premises.

To approve the request for Wootton Green Farm, Wootton Lane, Balsall Common to be added to the Local List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest.

To request that the Cabinet Member considers the above request for the addition of this  property to the Local List.

To agree the proposed extension to the remit of the Colebridge Trust to provide Enterprise Support, including Social Enterprise, and the joint working with the procurement team.

To update the Cabinet Member on the proposed way forward for Social Enterprise support, with particular reference to procurement, within Solihull Borough.

To approve the action plan to carry-forward the overspend of £4k into 2005-06, subject to Full Cabinet approval on the 4th August.

To request approval for the action plan to reduce the overspend on Regeneration Cabinet from the 2004-05 final accounts to the 2005-06 financial year, subject to approval by full Cabinet on the 4th August.

To approve the contribution of up to £65k of Regeneration of North capital budget for 05/06 to the Fordbridge plus Neighbourhood Management Pathfinder.

To seek approval for the use of up £65k as a contribution to capital conversation works to Linacre House, creating office accommodation for the Pathfinder.
