075RCD03 The Lyons Review - Independent Review of Public Sector Relocation The Cabinet Member agreed the Council’s response to the Independent Review of Public Sector Relocation and, more specifically, agreed that the Council:-

supports and, if necessary, lobbies key regional partners in favour of a single regional approach, and subsequent campaign focussing on presenting the region’s strongest offer(s); and

seeks to work in partnership with Birmingham to secure public sector investment in default of a satisfactory regional response being agreed.

For the Cabinet Member to agree the Council’s response to the Independent Review of Public Sector Relocation published on 15 March 2004.  6 May 2004  
076RCD03 Groundwork - Extension into Solihull The Cabinet Member: -

noted the progress made in bringing about the extension of Groundwork Birmingham into Solihull; and

recommend that the Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Resources be asked to approve the Council making a revenue contribution of £50,000 a year for three years to Groundwork to support the trust extension.

For the Cabinet Member to approve the next steps to enable the extension of Groundwork Birmingham into Solihull. 6 May 2004

078RCD03 East Birmingham and North Solihull Regeneration Zone The Cabinet Member noted the progress of the East Birmingham North Solihull Regeneration Zone. To report on structural changes to the Zone and the draft Zone Implementation Plan. 6 May 2004

080RCD03 West Midlands European Strategic Framework The Cabinet Member received and endorsed the emerging Action plans of the West Midlands European Strategic Framework. Cabinet Member is asked to comment on the emerging Action Plans of the Strategic Framework.  6 May 2004  
081RCD03 Economic Development Performance Indicators The Cabinet Member received and considered the Performance Indicators for Economic Development activity undertaken by the Council as set out at Appendix 1 to the report. For the Cabinet Member to consider key Baseline Indicators for Economic Development activity undertaken by the Council in 2003/04. 6 May 2004  
082RCD03 Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) - Vehicle Parking Standards The Cabinet Member endorsed the decision of the Planning and Regulatory Committee and agreed that the SPG on vehicle parking standards be published for consultation purposes. To seek endorsement of the recommendation of the Planning and Regulatory Committee (19th April) that the SPG on draft vehicle parking standards should be approved for consultation purposes. 6 May 2004
