Farm Project Transport |
Authorise the transfer ownership of a vehicle and trailer to the Family Care Trust as proposed and the conclusion of any associated agreements consistent with relevant rules of the Council. |
To give effect to arrangements relating to tansport and equipment (previously purchased using 'special grants' monies) in order that the approved Provider can meet the contractual requirements in the most economically efficient way for the Council. |

Family Care Trust - Service Contract |
To approve the renewal of a contract between the Council and the Family Care Trust for the provision of the Day Care Services, Transport Services, and the 'Home Support' service. |
To enable the continuation of service provision to vulnerable people by an established Provider (and current contract holder) with a track record of consistent and quality service provision. |

Establishment of a Social Care and Health Partnership Board |
Approval of discussion of the draft terms of reference and membership of the proposed partnership Board preparatory to recommendations being made to Cabinet. |
To deliver a key task within the Social Services Performance Plan and to establish a partnership Board with the Primary Care Trust to manage the development of the Health Act flexibilities in establishing greater integration between health and social care services preparatory to a possible Care Trust. |

Fairer Charging – Consultation Feedback |
(i) To note the outcome of the consultation with current users, carers and stakeholders over the Fairer Charging arrangements. (ii) To approve the arrangements for further consultation with users, carers and other interested parties over proposed changes to the Council's existing non residential care charging policies. (iii) To ask the Cabinet to approve changes to the Council's Non Residential Care policies in October 2002 in the light of the the outcome of the consultation with service users, carers and other interested parties and in accordance with the Fairer Charging guidance issued under Section 7 of the Local Authority Social Services Act 1970. (iv) To ask Cabinet to approve the reallocation of social services carry forward spending from 2001/02 from the Roundmead project for use in relation to fairer charging implementation in 2002/03 and to enable consideration of funding arrangements in 2003/04 as part of the budget process for that financial year. |
To take the next steps to enable the council to implement fairer charging in line with government guidelines having regard to the results of consultation, best use of resources and to reflect care priorities the Council has set. |
