(ii) Authorised Officers to initiate discussions with Accord Housing in respect of a new block purchase agreement; and

(iii) To receive a further report

To enable Officers to negotiate a block purchase agreement for the provision of care home places in north Solihull.

Community Service Provision - Mental Health

The Cabinet Member;

(i) Noted the outcome of the contract review of community services currently provided by Mind (Solihull);

(ii) Authorised Officers to carry out a tender exercise for each of the five service areas in line with the council's 'rules for contracts'; and

(iii) To receive a further                        report.

To enable Officers to run a 'best value' tender exercise for five service contracts for the provision of community based services for people with mental health needs.

Long Term Care Charter

The Cabinet Member approved the Long Term Charter for 2005/2006 and agreed that it should be published and distributed

To update and revise the Long Term Care Charter, which is a mechanism to inform users and carers what they can expect in terms of long term care provision through standard setting and targets across health, housing and social care.

Fly Posting Enforcement Strategy

The Cabinet Member:-

(i) Noted the responses to the consultation exercise in relation to fly posting; 

(ii) Approved the fly posting enforcement strategy for use within the Borough; and

(iii) Asked that a report be submitted, to a future decision session, on the process and conditions for granting permissions, and how compliance with permissions will be monitored.

Complaints Review Panel - 00421

The Cabinet member:-

[i]  Noted the outcome of the review panel; and,

[ii] Noted the letter from the complaintants advocate at Appendix 2

[iii]  Endorsed the response of the Corporate Director.

[iv]  Asked the Chief Executive to communicate the decision to  the complainant and the Panel Chairman.

 

To conclude the representations process in relation to an individual case.

St. Johns Support Tenders

The Cabinet Member:-

1) Approved the award of the contract to Tenderer 1; and

2) To delegate the Service Director arrangements  agreeing and issuing the contract and setting the commencement date.

Enable the letting of a Supporting People contract for the provision of support services to people with mental health problems living in their own homes at St. Johns Grove, Kingshurst
