Solihull Care Trust [Progression]

1.          To endorse the recommendations of the Health and Social Care Partnership Board as set out in the Annex to the supporting paper; and,

2.          To refer Annex Appendix D on Governance to Cabinet and to the Health Scrutiny Panel for consideration consistent with the recommendations of the Partnership Board; and,

3.          To affirm the Council's commitment to  partnership working with the NHS within the framework of the Local Strategic Partnership and national service and planning  frameworks set by Government  to secure and deliver improved health and social care outcomes for local people within defined resource parameters.

To facilitate closer and more integrated working with the health service and the further development of the Care Trust Partnership project consistent with the approved Council Plan and improved health and social care outcomes for local people.

Birmingham and Solihull NHS LIFT

(i)                   approved the completion of the Strategic Partnering Agreement, and Co-operation Agreement; and

(ii)                 approved that the Council’s representative shall be the responsible Cabinet Member, or the Chief Executive or nominee.

To approve the entering into of the Strategic Partnering Agreement as approved in principle by the Cabinet on 10 July 2003.
