Births historical searches

The indexes in our Registrar office relate only to births, marriages and deaths which occurred within our area.

Searches of Birth Indexes

Superintendent Registrars do not have the staff to undertake searches of an indefinite or protracted nature. We can search the index, for a period not exceeding 5 years, only where accurate birth registration details are available

Other ways of Searching

All Solihull libraries have a subscription to the Ancestry website, which gives free access from library computers to the General Register Office indexes to births, marriages and deaths in England & Wales. Copies of the indexes are also available on microfiche at Solihull Central Library .
