  • Advocacy for social services clients
Advocacy is when someone speaks on your behalf to put your views and/or to help you get what you are entitled to.
  • Community strategy
A Place for People describes the sort of place we want Solihull to be in the future. It aims to address people's concerns now and to respect the needs of future generations. We have been listening to the hopes and concerns of a wide range of people and organisations and gathered their views on what would improve the quality of life in the borough. We have listened to all these views and ideas and come up with a Community Strategy. This sets out the important issues and how they will be tackled.
  • Housing focus groups
A good way of having your say in how your home is managed is to get involved in a Tenants' and Residents' Association. It can be easier to discuss the problems and priorities you have for your local area when you are part of a group.
  • Voluntary organisations - funding
To help seek out and maximise external funding opportunities for the Council a dedicated team has been created within Strategic Services.
