Deaths - historical searches
The indexes in our Registrar office relate only to births, marriages and deaths which occurred within our area.
Searches of Death Indexes
Superintendent Registrars do not have the staff to undertake searches of an indefinite or protracted nature. We can search the index, for a period not exceeding 5 years, only when accurate death registration details are available.
Other ways of Searching
All Solihull libraries have a subscription to the Ancestry website, which gives free access to the General Register Office indexes to births, marriages and deaths in England and Wales. Copies of the indexes are also available on microfiche at Solihull Central Library
You can also contact the General Register Office - they hold a central copy of all Birth, Death and Marriage registers in England and Wales.
