As you embark on one of the most important occasions of your life you will no doubt have more questions than answers. We hope these webpages will help by explaining some of the choices you have in where, when and how you celebrate your Wedding and guide you through the required legal formalities.
We will help you create your own special occasion - help you design your ceremony around all that is important to you, and ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible.
How to book
On line
You can complete the on line booking form, once received one of our experienced event coordinators will contact you to advise if your chosen date and time are available or discuss alternatives dates and time if not. The coordinator will also ask you to pay a deposit to secure the date and time, this can be made by credit or debit card. The events co-ordinator will discuss other ways to pay if you are unable to pay by card.

In person
You can call in to Solihull Register Offices or any of our Solihull Connect Offices
All bookings are subject to you both giving notice in accordance with the current legislation.
Deposits are non-refundable If you cancel the ceremony after the booking has been confirmed. There is also a £20 administration fee if you decide to change your date, time or venue after your booking has been confirmed. Please note that cancelations should be made in writing to Solihull Register Office, Homer Road, Solihull, B91 3QZ or by email connectcc@solihull.gov.uk
Civil Ceremonies
Civil ceremonies can take place in a Register Office or other licensed building.
Religious Ceremonies
Religious ceremonies can take place in a church, chapel or other building of worship which has been formally registered for marriage ceremonies.
Approved Premises
The Marriage Act 1994 allows suitable locations to be licensed for marriage ceremonies, offering a vast choice of type, location and cost. You can marry at any approved premises in England or Wales.

The formalities that you need to go through when you get married.
Fees
Fees are payable no later than 8 weeks before the date of the ceremony. For ceremonies which are taking place in less than 8 weeks payment should be made at time of booking. Terms and conditions apply.
