Information about services for childminders including how to register as a childminderThe National Childminder's Association (NCMA) offers a wide range of services to childminders and parents regarding issues such as insurance and training. They operate both locally and nationally.
Childminders may attend a variety of childminder groups, play and stays (parent/toddler group) all of which enable them to meet with other carers which in turn, provides them with support.

How do I go about registering as a child minder?

Solihull Early Years and Childcare Service hold pre-registration briefing sessions where they will give out childminding registration application packs. The application pack contains:
- Completing the Application Pack leaflet
- CM1 - Application Form
- CM2 - Declaration and Consent Form
- Health Declaration Booklet.
