Parents and Carers
Our main aim in our work with you, as parents and carers, is to enable you to support your young people to make positive choices, and to do this in an informed and impartial way.
As a parent or carer, you have a considerable influence over your daughter / son and they will naturally look to you for advice and guidance. For most young people, their families are the initial source of this help and information, although as children get older they rely on more and varied sources. As a parent or carer, it will help if you understand about the ways in which Connexions tries to help young people aged between 13 and 19 (or up to 25 with a disability), to help them to get the best possible start in life.
This area of our website tells you more about the Connexions Service, what we do in Solihull, and gives you some information about the important choices facing young people from Year 9 onwards. The Useful links section will take you to other websites which you might find helpful, and includes some website and helpline information if you need support with a range of important issues.
