Parents of Year 10/11 students - your teenager's future
Planning for Your Future
In Year 11, your son or daughter will need to decide what they want to do when they leave school.
Our Planning for Your Future leaflet highlights career planning websites, and what school leavers need to consider when planning their future.
A copy of the leaflet has been sent direct to all Year 11 Parents and Carers but you can also view a copy of the leaflet via the Attachments Section, on the right hand side of this page.
For more detailed help, check out the new edition of 16 Plus.
Did you know?
The September Guarantee is a key part of the Government's plan to reduce the number of NEET young people (not engaged in education, employment or training). It is the guarantee of an offer, by the end of September 2012 - the year they finish compulsory education - of a place in learning for every young person in Year 11. A place in learning includes full-time education, an Apprenticeship or Foundation Learning Programme.
