Connexions Opening Times

Connexions Solihull in Central Library and Connexions Chelmsley Wood drop-in opening times are 1.00pm-4.00pm, Monday to Friday.

An appointment service will operate from 9.15am-12.30pm, Monday to Friday (apart from Wednesdays, which will be 10.00am-12.30pm), and on Thursdays at Central Library, 4.45pm-7.00pm.

Why we needed to change

We needed to change the way we offer services at these Centres to make sure we are using staff efficiently and continue to offer the best possible service.

Who we talked to

In April and May, we talked to young people using our service, and some who do not use our service, and found out that they mainly wanted to - pop in and get help there and then, and/or to book an appointment.  Not so many said that they would like our services run through sessions and workshops - this may be because they were not sure what was meant by sessions/workshops.

We also talked to our staff.  They had similar views, but also felt that sometimes appointments were booked and not kept.

The changes

So, we have moved to drop-in for the afternoon and appointments for the morning, and staff will make an effort to help you keep appointments.  Also, we will try out some workshops/sessions to see if you like them.

Checking it works

Over the next couple of months, we will work on how we standardise the service you get when you visit a Centre, and review how things are working - so we will need your help again.  This will be through surveys or, if you can volunteer some time, project work.
