Parking near a school

We have launched an initiative to help tackle the issue of inconsiderate parking near schools during the morning drop-off and afternoon pick up periods.

In support of this initiative, from Monday 23 April for twelve weeks the schools below will be subject to intensive parking enforcement.

If your children attend any of these schools, if you work at any of the schools or if you are a pedestrian or driver who walks or drives past the school, we are keen to know if you think the initiative has reduced parking around the school; so please spend a few minutes filling in this survey.

  • Castle Bromwich Junior
  • Chapel Fields Junior
  • Coppice Junior
  • Daylesford Infant
  • Kingshurst Primary
  • Langley Primary
  • Our Lady of Compassion
  • Shirley Heath Junior School
  • St Anne's Primary

Leisure services for children with disabilities

We have recently invested money into leisure services for children and young people with disabilities. The money we used was grant funding from DCATCH and came from the government.

So that we can continue to improve leisure services for children and young people with disabilities we would like you to spend some time telling us how we can further improve and what you think we need to do next.

This survey can be filled in by parents of a child with a disability or by a young person themselves.

Streetlight pilot in part of Monkspath

We are piloting new street lights and different ways of using the lights in the Monkspath area of Solihull.  13 roads are part of the pilot.

We have written to everyone living on a road that is part of the pilot. This survey is for people living in the roads that are part of the pilot.

Consultation on proposals to transform and modernise residential care services at Sunhaven and Coombes House

This Consultation is now closed.

We are completely committed to offering high quality services to those living in residential care.

The care provided in Sunhaven and Coombes House is high-quality but the buildings are just not good enough any more, so we have a duty to make difficult decisions to make sure people living in the homes have a good place to live.  We also have to make sure our services are able to respond to the hopes, aspirations and care needs future service users.

Please take to time to read the information booklet explaining the proposals before you feedback.
