North Solihull Primary School Reorganisation Consultation

Solihull Council has entered into a contract with Inpartnership that will deliver a targeted regeneration of North Solihull. Within this strategy all of the primary schools within the regeneration area will be replaced by a new model of provision located in newly built schools.

In April 2006 Cabinet approved the North Solihull Regeneration Primary School Framework. This document sets out the need for ten primary schools located within the regeneration area, which together with the schools already in Castle Bromwich and Marston Green will be sufficient to cater for the needs of the children in the whole of North Solihull. The framework also sets out the need to identify three additional sites which could be brought forward in the event that further schools are required in the longer term to respond to higher levels of growth in the pupil population.

Kingshurst Primary School was the first school to be completed. The second new school located in North Arran Way is due for completion in December 2008. The third school in the programme is a Catholic School which is the newly enlarged St Anne's Catholic School and is scheduled for completion in January 2010.
