ACCOUNTS AND AUDIT (ENGLAND) REGULATIONS 2011
NOTICE OF AUDIT FOR YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2012
Notice is hereby given for the purposes of Sections 15 and 16 of the Audit Commission Act 1998 and under regulations 9, 10, 21, 22 and 24 of the Accounts and Audit (England) Regulations 2011 as follows:-
(i) Any interested party may, between 9.00am and 1.00pm and 2.00pm and 4.30pm attend on each day during the period Friday 29th June 2012 to Thursday 26th July 2012, to inspect and make copies of the accounts of the Council for the year ended 31st March 2012, at the Resources Division, Council House, Manor Square, Solihull B91 3QB. All books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating to the accounts, may be inspected and copies may be made. In order to ensure the efficient organisation of this process and since it is impractical to deposit all such records in one place, could interested persons please call Central Accountancy (telephone 0121 704 6238) to make arrangements for inspection.
(ii) Our external auditor, Audit Commission of 1, Friarsgate, 1011 Stratford Road, Solihull, B90 4BN, has designated 10.00am on Friday 27th July 2012 as the appointed date on or after which any Local Government elector for Solihull (or his/her representative) may take the opportunity to question the auditor about the accounts.
(iii) Any elector wishing to object before the auditor should give written notice with details of the objection and the grounds on which it is made to the address shown in (ii) above and send a copy to the Director of Resources at the address given in (i) above. This written notice must be received by both parties at the addresses mentioned in (i) and (ii) above before the appointed day of Friday 27th July 2012.
