Information about school trips

School trips provide a valuable opportunity for pupils to encounter experiences which are not available in the classroom. They enable pupils to develop initiative, resourcefulness and independence.

It is essential that the safety of welfare of the children is considered before arranging the visits.

School visit guidelines have been developed to provide helpful and practical advice to Governing Bodies, Headteachers and Teachers. These guidelines can be viewed on the DCSF Teachernet website.
