Call for Artists for an exhibition in Solihull Gallery G1 exhibition space
We are currently taking submissions from west midlands artists for a solo show in the Solihull Gallery this coming June. If you have a body of work you would like to exhibit then send your submission to us. The deadline for submitting is: 8th May 2008 @ 5 O’clock. See the Call for Submissions (attached right) for submission guidelines and floor plan of Gallery. Or contact Gallery officer, Aimee Green telephone: 0121- 704-8349 or email martsideas@solihull.gov.uk
Exhibition Boards
Solihull Arts Complex - Café Bar has had new exhibition boards installed in the café bar. This is a great space to get your work seen by a wide range of audiences: day to day passing custom, community groups, council staff, theatre audiences, library users and the Solihull Gallery visitors. There is NO FEE for the space, just standard 25% commission on all sales.
Each year there will be 2 submission deadlines, and out of the submissions the Gallery Officer and Café Bar manager will select artists to put their work up for 4 week periods. The work will be hung by the technical team; the number of pieces selected are dependent on dimensions of the walls and is at the discretion of the Gallery officer. The only guideline for the work is that it is suitable for family audiences.
2008 dates for submission: April 30th and October 31st for submission deadlines. Next year deadlines not yet released.
Please submit the following:
- CV or description of your work
- Images of your work (electronic is fine if they are viewable and PC friendly).
- Contact details and any dates that your work may not be available for exhibition.
I look forward to receiving your submissions
Send postal submissions to the address below or electronic ones to Artsideas@solihull.gov.uk
