Making a film about regeneration North Soihull

Media Students from CTC Kinghurst Academy who live in north Solihull have been working with Laundry artists to make a film about the regeneration in Solihull. The project is one of three under the Creative Communities Programme, which aims to develop models of practice for young people's creative participation in the built environment. A key strand of the programme is the role of artists and creaive practitioners acting as a 'bridge' between young people and the built environment proffesionals. The project has been funded by MADE* a architecture centre based in Birmingham. The DVD explores how the young people feel about regeneration in the North and sees them talking with the people that make the decisions. We will be working the group to tour the DVD and make presentations to teams within the Council and partners in the Region.

If you would like a copy or see the presentation then email; artsideas@solihull.gov.uk
