Artist Information

I taught in primary schools in Birmingham for 17 years, then did my BA at Solihull in Fine Art. The artists that I admired all my life are Leonardo Da Vinci, Egon Schiele, Kollwitz and Maggie Hambling. I am fascinated by faces and figures. I like the challenge of painting a likeness but prefer to build up my own images from photography. I love the idea of the character behind the mask.
