Artist Information

I have been painting for around 30 years having been inspired by colour and texture. I particularly enjoy working with watercolour, acrylics and charcoal pencils. After school I undertook a 2-year art foundation course which included photography and history of art. I then went onto gain a first class honours degree in Interior Design. Although my career evolves mainly around interior design I also have a PGCE teaching certificate and have taught to GCSE students. I currently run an adult art class in Solihull, catering for mixed abilities from absolute beginners to other professional artists.

As part of my interior design practice, I paint pictures for clients specifically designed to suit interior design schemes for both domestic and commercial applications. My paintings are suited to both contemporary and traditional styles. I have also sold many diverse pieces of art, earning a reputation for people and animal portraits.

I am available to give workshops in:

• Different media - acrylic, watercolours, charcoal and pencil. Covering all basic elements such as tone, colour and line.
• Portraits.
• Landscapes in pastel.
