These pages have advice for anyone wanting to start up their own arts project in Solihull. Solihull Arts Service work alongside an Arts Strategy. Read about Taking Arts Forward - our Arts Strategy, which outlines the council's priorities from 2005-2010.

You can also call Solihull Council Arts Development on 0121 704 8349 for advice on how to plan and run a successful project, and on how to raise money to support it.

You might want to run a dance school as a business, team up with friends and volunteer to play music in hopsitals, tour a piece of theatre about bullying to local schools, set up a film crew... whatever your activity is you need to plan well. Our useful links page gives lots of sites with information on health and safety and child protection, and on all sorts of organisations that give funding to arts projects.

Please note Solihull Council has no grants funding schemes of its own for arts projects but can work in partnership with you to obtain funding.
