You can also dispose of bulky times, such as bathroom suites, furniture, sheet glass and mattresses, as well as your general household rubbish, in the general waste containers.

Asbestos

The site at Bickenhill is not licensed to accept asbestos. However, the Council provide a facility for residents producing household waste asbestos to dispose of it safely.

This disposal facility is run on behalf of the council by a contractor, residents wishing to use the facility must pre-book. If you are removing the asbestos yourself, you will need a permit obtained from the council.  Please ring 0121 704 8000 during office hours for a permit of pre-book the disposal facility.

Please note that we do not provide a service to collect asbestos.
