Mobile Phone Recycling

Donate your unwanted mobile phone and accessories

Over 15 million mobile phones are replaced every year. There are an estimated 90 million sitting in drawers and toy boxes across the country. Residents can now pick up or request a free post envelope for recycling their mobile phone, charger, instruction manual and any accessories they may have.

The scheme is operated by CLIC Sargent a charity caring for Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood. Whether the phone is still usable or totally unusable £3 is donated every time.

150 phones will fund a CLIC Sargent family support worker for a week, 650 phones will fund a CLIC Sargent play specialist for a month and 3,500 phones will fund 10 families to have a holiday at Malcolm Sargent House.

Envelopes for recycling your old mobile phone can be requested by telephoning 0121 704 8000 or can be collected from your Local Library, Connect Walk-In Centres or Housing Office or from the Mobile Library and Bickenhill Household Waste Recycling Centre.
