Bulky Waste Terms and Conditions of Collection

What you need to do

  • The items must be outside your property awaiting collection from 7.30am on the day of collection.
  • You do not have to be at home when we collect.
  • Items such as carpets or broken furniture must be rolled, securely tied or bundled together.
  • Collections from gardens are made from the garden which is most easily accessible by vehicle from the road (front or rear).
  • Do not fill items with other rubbish.
  • To cancel a collection you must contact us before 12.00pm on the day before your collection is due to be eligible for a refund.
  • Once your booking is complete we cannot make changes to the items you have asked us to collect or your booked collection date. If you wish to change the items or date then we will have to cancel your original booking and arrange a new booking.

What we will do

  • Bulky item collections are provided for the collection of items of household waste only.
  • Only the items of waste listed at the time that you booked and paid for the service will be collected - we cannot collect additional items of waste that you add after you have completed your booking.
  • We will collect a maximum of ten black bags of household waste per collection as one item of bulky waste.
  • We may send an Officer to inspect the items and their collection point prior to the collection and we retain the right to refuse a collection.
  • If the items are not made available for collection on the day, we will leave you a card telling you that we have called. You will have to pay again for another collection, if you still require one and you will not be eligible for a refund.

  • We cannot specify collection times.
  • We do not offer a house clearance service.
  • We will not collect more than 10 items on one request.
