  • Environmental Crime
    Solihull Council has a wide remit in relation to environmental crime. The Council leads the response locally to all forms of environmental crime, and in doing so works closely with many other agencies, including West Midlands Police, the Environment Agency, Her Majesty's Courts Service, and the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency.
  • Environmental information regulations
    The EIR are legally enforceable regulations that govern the public's right to access environmental information held by public authorities including local authorities.
  • Forensic science service
    The purpose of the FSS is to serve the administration of justice principally by providing scientific support in the investigation of crime and expert evidence to the courts. It aims to do so with efficiency, effectiveness and economy.
  • Pest control
    Council Pest Control Officers will deal with pests that are harmful to health and well-being at homes and businesses.
  • Public health - cooling tower notification
    Information on registering cooling towers and evaporative condensers.
  • Rabies protection
    The UK has been completely rabies free for many years and there are well prepared contingency plans to deal with any possible outbreak.
