Park Rangers

The Park Rangers have been in operation since 2002 and are an enthusiastic team of nature and community minded individuals set up to develop the relationship between the Parks and the people who use them and to introduce the Parks to a wider audience.

Split into three geographical areas, there is a core team assigned to each area within the Borough. The Rangers have access to valuable information and details about all the events and activities within the Parks. The Rangers also work with schools and local clubs to educate young and old on the responsible usage of Parks and offer opportunities to get involved in conservation activities.

Blue uniforms distinguish the Park Ranger team from other key personnel. The team works seven days a week, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, so you are likely to meet your local Park Rangers in the near future. Park Ranger vehicles are clearly marked so if you see one in the Park you'll know that a Ranger is never far away.
