Windy Weather - Top Tips
During periods of windy weather we try to be as tidy as possible when collecting your waste and recycling. However you can help us to try and keep the area clear by:
- Placing a lid on your green box
- Weighing down your white sack
- Place loose cardboard underneath the containers to prevent it from blowing away
- Try to place your recycling containers out as late as possible but still make them available for 7am
What we do to try and reduce any mess:
- The waste and recycling crew clear spillages where they can
- Our streetcare teams conduct regular litterpicks on a 10 day cycle – however if a particular area is badly affected that causes a hazard then a team may be diverted to clear this.
