Offering wide open spaces and great accessibility, it is little wonder there are so many events in Solihull through the year.

No matter what the season, or the weather, a great show is always put on.

It is not all happening in our parks though, with many conservation projects and environmental initiatives taking place in our Local Nature Reserves too.

Sunday 2 April
Run for Fun Solihull Half Marathon

Start and finish Blythe Valley Business Park, B90 8AT: 10.30am

The inaugural Run for Fun Solihull Half Marathon, in association with Virgin Active, starts and finishes from Blythe Valley Business Park and follows a route taking in areas covered by Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull local authorities.

Registration costs £23.00 - £26.00 per person - participants must be aged 15 or over. Money will be raised for the Acorns Children’s Hospice. For more information and to register, visit www.kpevents.net/enter-an-event.

Farmer’s Market

Dizzy Duck Race

Babbs Mill LNR, B37 6LN: Registration from 10.30am; 11.00am – 12.30pm

You would have to be quackers to miss this one! Pick a duck and wish it luck as it races along the river. There are prizes for the first three to reach the finish line.

This event is popular with visitors of all ages - children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The event costs £1.00 per duck. Meet by the play area.
