Scams Surgery
- 10.00am - 4.00pm, Chelmsley Wood Town Centre (Outside of Solihull Connect Walk In Centre)
Sounds too good to be true...? Solihull Trading Standards will be hosting a 'Scams Surgery', providing advice and guidance on dealing with scams. If you feel you may have been a victim of a scam and need practical support, or would like further information on how to avoid scams, please drop by and visit us on the first floor of the Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre (above Asda).

Jazz & Blues Festival
- Music lovers and families in search of Bank Holiday fun will be able to relax, soak up the sounds and enjoy a whole host of brilliant entertainment. Two outdoor stages, in Mell Square and Jubilee Gardens, will be packed with free performances. Firm audience favourites Ricky Cool, The Broombusters and The Fabulous Boogie Boys all return for a second year and there are also performances from the British Jazz Awards-winning trumpet player Bruce Adams, the Dixie Ticklers, The Will Johns Band, The New Orleans Hotshots and John-Paul Gard Hammond Trio amongst many others. Music in the Park 2: ‘Forties Fever!
- 2.00pm - 4.15pm, Elmdon Park, B91 2PP
The popular music event changes location in Elmdon Park this year, with a concert next to the picturesque St Nicholas Church. Bring a picnic and sit back to enjoy the sounds of a local brass band. Refreshments, toilet facilities and delicious home made cakes are also available at the church, and the event will move indoors in bad weather, where dancing will be encouraged! Meet at the car park off Damson Parkway, next to the church – there are limited parking spaces available, so visitors are encouraged to walk or take public transport if possible.

Slippery Slugs & Snails (All ages)
- 10.30am - 12.00pm, Parkridge Centre, Brueton Park, Solihull, B91 3EN
Follow snail trails to seek them out and discover other creepy crawly characters on the reserve. £4.50 per person, £3.50 for Warwickshire Wildlife Trust members. To book your place call 0121 704 0768 (only between 10.00am - 12.00pm), parents must accompany 2-7 year olds.
Wednesday 29th May
Teddy Bear’s Picnic
- 11.00am - 1.00pm, Meriden Park, B37 5SH
If you go down to the park today, you’re sure of a big surprise! Take your teddy bear on a special picnic where you will have the chance to meet a VIP bear and take part in our competition for the chance to win a prize. Entertainment including a puppet show is also available. £1 per child for the craft activity, with a small charge for some of the other attractions.

Teddy Bears Picnic for tots (2-4 years)

If you go down into the woods today you’re in for a big surprise! Make your own teddy house in the woods and create your own cuddly craft. £4 per person, £3 for Warwickshire Wildlife Trust members. To book your place call 0121 704 0768, parents must accompany 2-7 year olds.

Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

Make sure you’re not late for a very important date by coming to the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party! Meet Alice and friends, follow our treasure trail around the park to learn more about their adventures in Wonderland, take part in themed craft activities and enjoy the other entertainment on offer, including face painting and puppet shows. Why not wear fancy dress for a chance to win our competition? £1 per child for the treasure trail and crafts, with a small charge for some of the other activities. Meet by the car park off Longdon Road.
