Farmers’ Market – High Street Solihull

  • Warwickshire Wildlife Trust invites you to come along and help us build a bird feeding station at Lavender Hall Park between 11:00am and 2:00pm.
    We are meeting at the "Central Hedge" where the enclosure is going to be built.

Knowle Park Party

  • 7:00pm doors open from 6pm Fantastic Films - High School Musical & Blues Brothers Tributes Knowle Park The ever-popular tribute night returns with songs from fab films. The first half features high octane song and dance routines from Disney's sensational High School Musical by tribute band Class of'08. After the interval, don your shades for the Briefcase Blues Brothers, a showcase of swinging Blues Brothers songs performed by a live eight-pieceband.
  • Bring your own blanket/seating/picnic etc (no barbeques) Tickets also on sale from June at Knowle Library. Please check availability as park shows do sell out.

Shirley Carnival

  • Shirley Park. A bumper filled day of fun and mayhem in the park with stalls, entertainment and refreshments. It’s a great day for all the family.

Hockley Heath Village Fete

  • 11 am to 3 pm at the Hockley Heath Recreation Ground, Old Warwick Rd.
    The event is community focussed and stall holders will include the Women's Institute, local churches, Hockley Heath Gardening Club and animal rescue organisations.  There will be around 40 stalls / attractions, the overall aim is to raise funds for these charities and community organisations.

  • A chance to treat yourself to some wonderful delights from the continent. Clothes, gifts, meats and sweets- just a hint of the variety of products you can buy at this fabulous and unique market!

  • 2pm-4:15pm Knowle Park Bring a picnic for an afternoon of brass - playing popular show tunes from musicals, TV and the theatre.

Wind in the Willows – OutdoorTheatre

  • 7pm Brueton Park More than "simply messing about inboats", the famous four - Toad, Ratty,Mole and Badger - take us on a journey of mysticism, adventure, morality and camaraderie.
  • A fun family show suitable for all ages. The first 339 seats sold are guaranteed a seat at Solihull Arts Complex Theatre in the event of extreme weather. Bring a blanket/seat,picnic and clothing appropriate for evening weather. Family shows do sellout so always check availability before setting off if you intend to buy on the gate. www heartbreakproductions.co.uk

Road Show

  • 10am-4pm Mell Square, Solihull Town Centre Meet the Park Ranger team and discover more about the 18 parks we have on offer around the Borough and the events that take place throughout the year. Face painting, badge making and crafts all the day.

Explore the Cole Valley

  • 1:30pm (2 hrs approx) Babbs Mill Local Nature Reserve. A circular walk from Babbs Mill Local Nature Reserve, Yorks Wood and through Meriden Park and along the banks of the river Cole with the Park Ranger team – pointing out sites of interest and local flora and fauna. Please wear suitable footwear.

Fun Festival 1

  • 11am-3:30pm Knowle Park Wizards and princesses is the theme of this fun festival – so come in fancydress and make a magic wand to help make your spells. There’s a Wizard of Wonder show throughout the day too.Bring a picnic and stay all day. There are rides and sweets on site too so bring some pocket money.

Mid Week Meander

  • 11am-2pm Meet Sports Pavilion, Kendrick Avenue, Shard End The Friends of Kingfisher Country Park invite you to join them on a gentle walk to Colebank LNR, looking for wildlife along the way. Sturdy foot wear recommended and light refreshments provided.
