Gardeners Weekend - 17-18 May 2008
Things are hotting up now as the timetable of walks, talks and demo's has been released for this weekends Garden Weekend organised by Solihull Council in Solihull Town Centre, Mell Square and Malvern Park which is just a five minute walk away from the shops, past St Alphege Church.
Saturday 17th May
The following activities will be taking place:

The guest speaker is Chris Canaan from Akamba Garden Centre in Dickens Heath who specialises in exotic and tropical plants, which are becoming more common in our gardens. The hot topic in the garden world, is how to adapt your garden to changing climate conditions. Sunday's guest speaker is Roger Sweetinburgh, a Horticultural Consultant and Garden Landscaper/designer who will give you ideas on renovating your garden as well as useful tips on pruning.

Don't forget the Plant Swap stall in the park all weekend and craft activities with the Park Rangers, including making your own bug house to take home!
There will be children's rides in the Park, cream teas at the Parkridge Centre in Brueton Park and information on this year's Open Garden Events. Have a mooch around the garden craft market in the Town Centre too. You might even bump into our look-a-likies!
Please note that our Band in the Park on Sunday has been cancelled but bring your picnic instead and enjoy the great outdoors.
Timetables will be available at stalls on the day as well as feedback forms for your ideas and views on our first Gardeners' Weekend.
