Midsummer Nights Dream - Wed 16th July, 7.30pm start

  • Brueton Park
    Gates open from 6:30pm/ 2hrs 30mins incl. interval
    Shakespeare's magical and hilarious comedy featuring Oberon and Titania in the forest. 
    The first 339 seats sold are guaranteed a seat in the theatre in the event of extreme bad weather. Bring your own seating/blanket and wear appropriate clothing for this outdoor event.
    Tickets: £8 (£7, £3 in advance) £10 (£9, £4 on the gate)   Age: 6+

Flower Power – Solihull in Bloom, Thurs 17th July, 10.00am - 12.00pm

  • Malvern Park
    A spot of artwork is required to make your own decorated plant pot - with craft material or paint - which will be home to a seed to nurture throughout the summer.  The judges from Heart of England in Bloom may even judge your design, as they travel around the Borough to mark Solihull on its standards of cleanliness, features and blooming colour. Free event.

    Auction of a signed Manu U football, Liverpool football and Arsenal signed photograph and a West Bromwich Albion Pennant, auction at 3pm
    Magic show, clown, balloon modelling, giant games, competitions, character appearance.
    At an extra cost Skittles Alley, Face Painting, Bouncy Castle, Raffle, Tombola.

Peter Pan - Wed 23rd July, 7.00pm Approx 2 hrs incl. interval

    Peter Pan, a fierce swordfighter, spends his never-ending childhood adventuring on the island of Neverland as leader of the Lost Boys who refuse to grow up.  Entertainment for all the family in this vibrant version of J M Barries classic tale and early booking is recommended.

Never Mind the Buzzards - Here's the Really Wild Life, Chris Packham - Thurs 24th July, 2:30pm - 2hrs incl. interval

  • Solihull Arts Complex Theatre
    Why do lizards sneeze and what's so different about badger poo? Chris will tell you 50 things you didn't know about wildlife… were too afraid to ask and probably wished you'd never learned!    Birds, mammals, insects, reptiles and plants are all examined and explained in this fun afternoon show for all ages.

Lavender Hall Park LNR Open Day - Thursday 24, 10-2pm

  • Lavender Hall Park
     Join the Mayor of Solihull and wildlife TV presenter Chris Packham to celebrate the designation of Lavender Hall Park as a Local Nature Reserve! At Lavender Hall Park, Lavender Hall Lane, Balsall Common.
    There will be a free bouncy castle and other children's rides and activities, stalls from many different wildlife charities and organisations and a wildflower sale and refreshments.

Trees for Beginners - Mon 28th July, 2.00pm - 3.30pm

  • Dorridge Park and Local Nature Reserve
    A good opportunity to take an in-depth look at trees with the help of our Park Ranger Team – discover names and ways of identifying species. Free event.

Beautiful Butterflies for Beginners – Tues 29th July, 1.00pm - 3.00pm

  • Brueton Park
    Meet in car park
    An introduction to butterflies and an opportunity to try and catch and identify some of those that live in the Park and Local Nature Reserve.
    £2 adults / 50p children

Fun Festival 1 - Wed 30th July, 11.00am-3:30pm

  • Olton Jubilee Park
    A mixture of free events from our resident entertainer and a selection of craft activities from the Park Rangers.  There are some children's rides on site too so bring some pocket money.  Free event.

Bat Walk - Thursday 31st July, 8:30pm - 10.00pm

  • Brueton Park
    Learn more about this warm blooded mammal, listening and tracking them down in the dark with detectors. Free event.

Circus Fun - Thursday 31st July 11am to 3pm

  • Come and see the circus, be a clown have your face painted - Subject to weather - Mell Square Solihull Town Centre
