Friday 6th April
Farmers' Market

  • 9.00am - 5.00pm High Street
    A traditional farmers market full of local produce all produced within a 30mile radius ensuring everything is fresh and most importantly local.  So come along and support your local farmers.

Friday 6th April
Easter Egg Hunt

  • 11.00am - 3.00pm Elmdon Park
    The Easter bunny has hidden clues around the park - crack the password and win a chocolate egg!  You may even spot the Easter bunny as he hops around the park.  Puppet shows, children’s rides, craft activities and other entertainment also available.  £2 per child, plus a small charge for some of the other attractions.  Meet at the Tanhouse Farm Road car park entrance.

Saturday 7th April
Easter Eggstravaganza

  • 11.00am to 3.00pm Mell Square
    A fantastic event for all the family, where you will be lead on a story based Easter Egg Hunt with Miss Egg Timer and The Easter Bunny with music, dancing and games along the way. Free craft activity, face painting characters and rides.

Tuesday 10th April
Tribal Dens

  • 10.30am - 12.00pm Parkridge Centre, Brueton Park
    Age Group: 4+. Build a den in our woodland and make a tribal headband.

Wednesday 11th April
Dizzy Duck Race

  • 11.00am - 12.30pm Babbs Mill LNR
    You would have to be quackers to miss this one!  Pick your duck and wish it luck as it races against your friends’ ducks along the river.  There will be a craft activity available and prizes for the top three in the race.  Fun for all the family - £1 per entrant.  Meet by the play area.

Easter Birds

  • 10.30am - 12.00pm Parkridge Centre, Brueton Park
    Age Group: 4+. See how many birds you can spot, then make your very own Easter craft.

Art Animal Tracks

  • 11.00am - 1.00pm Dorridge Park
    Learn how to make plaster casts of animal footprints at this popular event and take them home for £1.00.  Bring an apron or overalls as it can get messy!  Pre-booking is essential - contact 0121 704 8000 to reserve your place.  Meet by the car park.

France at Home

  • Mell Square
    This special market full of mouth-watering goodies is not to be missed. It offers a wide selection of products from all over the Continent, including the best of French Charcuterie, a vast selection of Dutch and French cheeses, grilled Toulouse and Merguez Sausages and olives from Spain.

Solihull in Bloom Launch

  • Hillfield Park, Monkspath 11am
    Solihull in Bloom has joined forces with thousands of community gardening groups up and down the country to celebrate the launch of the Royal Horticultural Society’s Britain in Bloom campaign for 2012, by going Wild about Wildflowers.  You can get involved too!  If you're interested in the local environment then come along and join us and Notcutts our garden competition sponsor, in planting up a wildflower area in the park and learn more about wildflowers.  Bring gloves and clothing for the weather.  For more information call us on 0121 704 8752

Spring Walk

  • 1.00pm - 3.00pm Meriden Park
    Join the Park Rangers for an afternoon stroll around Meriden Park and find out about the interesting features of the Cole Valley and Hatchford Brook along the way.  Sensible footwear is a must!  Meet at the car park.

St Alphege Fayre & Craft Fayre

  • 11am - 3pm High Street & St Alphege Church
    St Alphege Fayre celebrates the life of the martyred Archbishop of Canterbury who died on the 19th April 1012. With street entertainment, music, a jester, Craft Fayre and a special service at St Alphege, this promises to be a day to remember.

Wednesday 25th April
Community Day

  • 10.30am - 12.30pmTythe Barn Lane, Dickens Heath
    Calling all willing volunteers!  Help to make a difference to our parks and open spaces by joining in a clean up.  Tasks include fence maintenance, graffiti removal, litter picking and other manual jobs.  Gloves, sturdy shoes and old clothes or overalls are essential as you may get dirty - but all in a good cause.  Meet at the junction between Tythe Barn Lane and Tilesford Lane.
