Services
Choosing a school
All children with special educational needs should have their needs met. The special educational needs of children are normally met within mainstream schools.
You may find it useful to visit several schools to see which may suit your child, and to talk to the professionals who work with your child.
You can make an appointment with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) or Headteacher to be shown around the school and to discuss how the school could meet your child's needs.

Special Educational Needs
What if you are worried that your child is having difficulties?
If you are worried that your child is having difficulties during their early years, primary years and secondary years there are lots of people you can speak to who can help
What are Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
If your child will need lots of extra help at school it may be necessary to have a statement of special educational needs. This states what the child's educational needs are and how they will be met. Parents or professionals can request an assessment of the special educational needs of the child
