Earlswood Lakes.

Undergoing an upgrading process for paths. These will have a wood chip surface and will be 1.5 metres wide with some gateways. Advised that British Waterways may be able to arrange for a guide to meet a party of disabled visitors for a pre-booked talk and tour.

Kenilworth Castle

(English Heritage)

Some access for wheelchairs.
Taped guides available for the visually impaired or those with hearing difficulties.
These are also available in French, German or Japanese.

Kingswood Junction

Near Lapworth.

Canal side walks along the Stratford-upon-Avon and Grand Union canals. Most of the tow paths are suitable for wheelchair users. There is a picnic and barbecue area with parking and disabled toilet facilities.

  • Anne Hathaway's Cottage, Shottery, Stratford-upon-Avon
    The house is not accessible by wheelchair but the exterior can be viewed from the garden, part of which is suitable for wheelchairs. There are disabled toilet facilities.
  • Hall's Croft, Old Town, Stratford-upon-Avon
    Ground floor and gardens accessible to wheelchair users. There are disabled toilet facilities.
  • Mary Arden's House, Wilmcote
    Most of the site is accessible by wheelchair except for the upper floor of the farm house. There are disabled toilet facilities.
  • Nash's House and New Place, Chapel Street, Stratford-upon-Avon
    Ground floor and part of the garden is accessible to wheelchair users. There are disabled toilet facilities.
  • Shakespeare's Birthplace, Henley Street, Stratford-upon-Avon
    Access to the ground floor is via a ramp. The visitor centre, its exhibition and garden are accessible to wheelchair users. There are disabled toilet facilities.


Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm

Full access to all displays for wheelchair users. Disabled toilet facilities are situated nearby.
